I've been cleaning out a long overdue pile of stuff. It's what's barely keeping me here at the moment. Actually in truth, I'm purging out a lot of things. Last night I stripped down one book shelf and dismantled it. Then proceeded to strip another down. Only 12 school books remain on it. So no need for that book shelf. I'll have to dismantle that one to. If it was only books that I have been purging. I've been purging lots of things in rapid spurts followed by absolute crashing. I'm pretty sure I can just about empty out this entire house if I keep at it. And then what?
It's kind of scary. I'm taking all of my stuff to thrift shops. Then I walk around looking, but never buying. House isn't empty yet. I just know it's possible. How long before anyone notices the bare spaces, the missing things, or just about empty rooms?
I guess we could say hell it's easier to clean. And you would be right. All that remains in my living room is 12 school books, a couch on cinder blocks, and a TV. It's the behaviour that worries me.
It's freeing and yet I'll have to keep an eye on it.
So that's what I've been up to.
=============================
Here's something I made this past week and it was yumm!
Chicken Black Bean Chili
1lb ground chicken breast meat
some water
1 pkg miracle rice rinsed well
1 pkg low sodium chili seasoning
1 can rinsed well black beans
1 1/2 - 2 cups low sodium salsa
garlic if desired
cook chicken in water with half of seasoning, add black beans and garlic with rest of seasoning, stir in rice, heat thoroughly, add in salsa heat some more - serve plain or garnish how you like serves 4
On the honor system here, so if you snag my recipe and share it - you know what to do.
================================
I'm down to one pair of jeans and my t-shirts. I've been fortunate enough that this winter hasn't been as nasty cold. There's something I can get, clothes. I can wear my fab jeans, but I've lost my zest for them - I feel old, ha. Looking in the mirror seeing all this grey can freak one out.
......back to listening, thanks for checking on me
